ARFC proposes deploying Aave V4 on Stripe- and Paradigm-incubated Tempo
A new ARFC on the Aave governance forum proposes deploying Aave Protocol V4 on Tempo Mainnet, a payments-focused Layer 1 incubated by Stripe and Paradigm.

The proposal describes Tempo as a Layer 1 built for payments, incubated by Stripe and Paradigm and developed with partners including DoorDash, Deel, Shopify and MoneyGram. Tempo Mainnet launched on March 18, 2026 (chain ID 4217). It has no native gas token: fees are paid in USD stablecoins, with pathUSD as the default. The ARFC argues that deploying Aave V4 would make Aave the lending infrastructure for the enterprises and fintechs building on the network.
