Filecoin announced its latest network upgrade is complete. Under the upgrade, a growing share of rewards goes to services that bring paying customers onto the network, and that share grows as paid demand grows. Filecoin's status page lists the upgrade as MainNet Version 29 'Solstice'.

The Graph announced Substreams 0.8.0 is live, and new projects created with substreams init already use it. Modules pinned to 0.7 keep building and streaming, and a migration guide is available for upgrading.

Filecoin published a recording of its Oct 8 Storage Provider Community Forum, which explains how the Solstice upgrade changes how storage providers earn power and rewards.
